Who is EZ VLookup for?

EZ VLookup was originally created for a colleague who needed help writing a VLookup formula. They had tried for several hours to research information online and trying to code before reaching out to us for help. Create Table
Creating or modifying a table is easy with this quick tool. Select the range of data and open the ‘Table Maker’ window, specify your table needs and click ‘Save Table’.
This tool will allow you to manipulate:
- Table location and address
- Table name
- Totals at bottom of table
- Header rows
- Row design (stripes, drop downs and bold columns)
Search All
The Search All function will scan all opened workbooks and search each table to find your specific criteria, returning the find in a clean and precise listing. This list can then be copy and pasted into any spreadsheet or word document, with tabulations already programmed in.
All you do is select or type your search term and click ‘Search’. It’s that simple!
Jump To
This tool allows you to quickly view and navigate to any table that is inside any opened workbook. With quick display headers you get a small preview of the table before you jump to that workbook.
To operate simply double click on the table you want and the selected range will automatically populate on your screen.
Combine All
The Combine All is a method of gathering all tables into a single spreadsheet.
Open the Combine All window and a lit of all tables will be presented to you. Either select each table you would like to include, or, select all of them with the checkbox at the bottom of the selection screen. Select either to create a new sheet, and use the current, and click ‘Consolidate’.
Lock Cells/Unlock Cells
Do you want a way to make some cells not change values, even if someone clicks on them? Select cells you would like to lock and with a single click, no one can change anything in those cells!
Simply select, lock and you no longer need worry about the headache of undoing someone else’s mistake.
Want to change some values in a cell you or someone else locked out? Clicking ‘Unlock Cells’ will completely unlock all cells in the current worksheet. Quick, fast and easy enough that anyone can do it.
Hide Columns/Show Columns
Have some columns in a spreadsheet you don’t want people to, see? Select the columns and click ‘Hide Columns’. The columns will then disappear and no one will be able to see them.
Showing columns with EZ VLookup is just as easy as hiding them. Just click ‘Show Columns’ and all the hidden columns on the sheet will reappear.
Portrait/Landscape
Tired of printing a worksheet and the whole document prints on multiple pages instead of the one thing you wanted? With EZ VLookup you can just print what you select!
Select what you want to print and click ‘Print Selection’. Your selection, and only your selection, will be sent to your default printer, saving you time and money!

This program is a MICROSOFT EXCEL ADD-IN. This add-in DOES come with an installation file. It does require Microsoft Office Excel version 2007 or higher. Please note that installing the program from the installation file will only place the add-in on your machine. To have it always present inside Excel you will need to click the ‘Install/Uninstall’ button on the Excel Draw ribbon (please see image below).
MAC USERS
The first time EZ VLookup runs it was request access to create a file in the default storage area for programs in the Macintosh environment (Library/Cashes). Once created, EZ VLookup will create a settings file and you will never see this window again.
To Activate/Deactivate the Excel add-in
- Run the Excel Draw add-in.
- Click the ‘Install/Uninstall’ button.

The Excel Draw Ribbon Tab Vanishes After Installing:
If you followed the steps outlined on the left and the EZ VLookup Ribbon Tab vanishes upon reopening, please follow the steps outlined in this YouTube video (also outlined below).
- Click the File tab, click Options, and then click Trust Center
- In the Trust Center box and click Trust Center Settings. The Trust Center dialog box appears.
- In the Trust Center dialog box click Trusted Locations and then click Add new location.…
- In the Microsoft Office Trusted Location dialog box click Browse.…
- In the Browse dialog box select the location of the EZ VLookup add-in and click OK.
- Finish by clicking OK on remainder of dialog boxes.
