This program is a MICROSOFT EXCEL ADD-IN. This add-in does not come with an installation file. It does require Microsoft Office Excel version 2007 or higher. You may open the add-in without installing by running the *.xlam file after the download is complete. Opening the add-in without installing will allow the add-in to run only during the current instance of Microsoft Excel. Installing the add-in will allow Cel Tools to be available during every instance of Microsoft Excel, current and future. If you wish to install an add-in into Microsoft Excel please follow the steps below:

 

To Activate an Excel add-in
  • Click the File tab, click Options, and then click the Add-ins
  • In the Manage box, click Excel Add-ins, and then click Go. The Add-ins dialog box appears.
  • Click the Browse button and locate the downloaded Excel Add-in (xlam).
  • In the Add-ins available box, select the check box next to the add-in that you want to activate, and then click OK.

 

To deactivate an Excel add-in
  • Click the File tab, click Options, and then click the Add-ins
  • In the Manage box, click Excel Add-ins, and then click Go. The Add-ins dialog box appears.
  • In the Add-ins available box, deselect the check box next to the add-in that you want to deactivate, and then click OK.

 

 

Disclaimer
  • First/Last Name Swapping can only happen accurately if the selected names are formatted in one of the following ways:
    • First Last (ex. John Smith)
    • First Middle Last (ex. John Mark Smith)
    • First Middle Last Ext. (ex. John Mark Smith Jr)
  • Auto Backup works by having Cel Tools installed. Running the add-in without installation can result in a failure to back up your file.
  • Auto Backup will overwrite any backup-files that utilize the same name. This means that if you start a new book without first changing the name you will overwrite the previously backed up ‘Book1.xlsx’ document in your backup list.
