The AULA 99 Key Keyboard is a versatile, budget-friendly option for gamers and productivity enthusiasts alike. Priced at $35.99, this keyboard offers tri-mode connectivity (Bluetooth 5.0, 2.4GHz wireless, and USB-C wired), RGB backlighting, and customizable macros in a compact design.
What Customers Love
- Versatile Connectivity: The keyboard’s tri-mode connectivity makes it easy to switch between devices and usage scenarios. Bluetooth 5.0 is great for mobile or casual use, while the 2.4GHz wireless mode provides low-latency gaming performance.
- Customizable Macros: All keys support macro customization, which is a huge plus for gamers who want to streamline complex actions.
- Ergonomic Design: The compact layout with integrated number pad saves space, and the foldable stand allows for adjustable typing angles to reduce wrist strain.
- RGB Backlighting: The RGB backlighting adds a nice touch, especially in low-light gaming environments.
What Could Be Better
- Membrane Keys: While the keyboard has a custom mechanical feel, it’s still a membrane keyboard, which might not satisfy true mechanical keyboard enthusiasts.
- No Hot-Swapping: The keyboard doesn’t support hot-swapping, which limits customization options for those who prefer to swap out key switches.
- Software Learning Curve: Some users might find the macro programming and software setup a bit tricky at first.
Performance, Features, and Value
The AULA 99 Key Keyboard strikes a good balance between performance and price. The tri-mode connectivity is reliable, and the macro customization adds significant value for gamers. The RGB backlighting and ergonomic design are nice extras that enhance the overall user experience.
At $35.99, it’s an affordable option that doesn’t skimp on essential features. However, if you’re specifically looking for a mechanical keyboard with hot-swappable switches, you might need to look elsewhere or be prepared for a bit of a learning curve with the software.
Should You Buy This?
Maybe: The AULA 99 Key Keyboard is a solid choice if you’re looking for an affordable, versatile keyboard with customizable macros and RGB backlighting. It’s particularly well-suited for gamers and productivity users who want a compact design with multiple connectivity options. However, if you’re a mechanical keyboard purist or need hot-swappable switches, you might want to consider other options.
