The AULA WIN68 HE Mechanical Gaming Keyboard is an enticing option for gamers and coders on a budget, offering advanced hall effect magnetic switches and a high polling rate. Let’s dive into what makes this keyboard stand out.
What Customers Love
- High Polling Rate: With an industry-leading 8000Hz polling rate, the WIN68 HE ensures ultra-low latency and lightning-fast response times, giving gamers a competitive edge.
- Adjustable Actuation Points: The hall effect magnetic switches allow for customizable actuation points (from 0.02mm to 3.44mm), providing a tailored typing experience that caters to individual preferences and gaming styles.
- Compact Design: As a 60% keyboard, it saves up to 40% of desktop space while retaining essential arrow keys and function keys, making it perfect for those with limited space or who prefer portability.
What Could Be Better
- Windows-Only Customization: The customizable web driver only supports Windows systems, leaving macOS users out of the loop when it comes to advanced customization features.
- Noise Levels: While many users enjoy the stock sound, some might find it too loud or not as refined as more expensive mechanical keyboards.
- Limited RGB Customization Without Software: Although there are preset lighting effects, deeper customization requires using the provided driver on a Windows system.
Performance, Features, and Value
The AULA WIN68 HE shines in several areas. Its hall effect switches offer a smooth and precise typing experience that’s highly customizable to suit different gaming needs. The high polling rate is a significant advantage for competitive gamers who need instant response times. Additionally, the RGB backlighting adds a visually appealing touch to any setup.
However, the Windows-only driver limitation is a notable downside for macOS users who want to fully customize their keyboard experience. The noise levels might also be a deal-breaker for those sensitive to keyboard clicks or seeking a quieter typing experience.
Should You Buy This?
Yes: If you’re a Windows user looking for a budget-friendly mechanical gaming keyboard with advanced features like adjustable actuation points and high polling rate, the AULA WIN68 HE is an excellent choice. It offers great value for money while providing customization options that cater to competitive gamers.
No: If you’re on macOS or prefer a quieter keyboard without relying on software for customization, this might not be the best fit for you. Consider other options better suited to your needs.
